Reduces the risk of developing high blood pressure.
The health benefits of exercise can be achieved by virtually everyone, regardless of age, sex, race or physical ability. Therefore, if you want to feel better, have more energy and live longer.
Exercise is the physical exertion of the body - making the body do a physical activity which results in a healthy or healthier level of physical fitness and both physical and mental health. In other words, exercise aims to maintain or enhance our physical fitness and general health.
To maximize your overall health benefits, experts typically recommend that you perform 20 to 30 minutes of aerobic activity three or more times a week and some type of muscle strengthening activity and stretching at least twice a week. However, you can also achieve significant health benefits by completing 30 minutes or more of moderate-intensity physical activity a day, at least five times a week.
Improved muscle tone, reflex and coordination
Improved bowel function and helps prevent colon cancer.
To improve your physical fitness level while safeguarding you from unwanted overuse injuries and burnout. Once you get in better shape, you can gradually integrate more strenuous and varied activities into your routine
Increases strength, improves the structure, function and stability of ligaments, tendons and joints, prevents osteoporosis and improves posture.
Increases will power and self-control, reduces anxiety, stress, aggression and depression, stimulates creativity, emotional capacity and improves memory and self-esteem.
Also, the practice of regular exercise leads to healthy eating habits, decreases the perception of physical exertion (that it's difficult), and improves endurance.
Physical activity is important for physical health, emotional well-being, and achieving a healthy weight. Physical activity may help you control your weight by using excess calories that would otherwise be stored as fat. Most foods and many beverages you eat and drink contain calories, and everything you do uses calories. This includes sleeping, breathing, digesting food, and of course, moving around. Balancing the calories you eat with the calories you use through physical activity may help you maintain your current weight.
Physical activity can be defined as movement of the body by its muscles resulting in an increase in energy use.
Historically people have led very physically active lives in order to acquire and maintain the food and shelter necessary for survival. However, in recent times, technological advances and urbanization have progressed to the point that people in wealthier countries can be considered largely physically inactive.
Exercise increases the strength and endurance of skeletal muscles. Increases in muscular strength are associated with increases in muscle mass; increases in muscular endurance are associated with improved blood flow to the working muscles.
Physical exercise involves movement of the body to achieve and maintain a healthy condition and state of physical fitness. People exercise for aerobic training, to increase strength, and/or to improve flexibility. Exercise is also used as therapy to restore the body to a state of health
• improve self-esteem
Your daily routine can also provide opportunities for exercise. Walking around your neighborhood after dinner, walking the dog, washing the car, and raking leaves are all activities that can help to build strength, maintain energy, and contribute to your overall well-being.
• Your physician before beginning any exercise program
